Military Forces and Police bomb Calarcá and Mordisco structures in the department of Guaviare

Fuerzas Militares y Policía bombardean estructuras de Calarcá y Mordisco en el Guaviare

As part of military operations, troops of Colombian National Army, the Colombian Navy and the Colombian Aerospace Force, with intelligence of the National Police, carried out a bombing in the village of Barranco Ceiba, municipality of San José del Guaviare.

As a result of the powerful military action, three alleged members of the Organized Armed Group Mordisco faction were eliminated and a minor was recovered.

In the same way, the troops seized an abundance of war items and military accessories, including 22 long and short weapons, magazines, more than 14,000 ammunition of different calibers, explosive elements, communications equipment, cell phones and a computer that contained information related to the criminal plans of this illegal armed structure.

Simultaneously with the military operations and thanks to the sustained pressure of the Military Forces in the region, it was possible for five alleged members of these illegal armed organizations to surrender to justice: three belonging to the Amazonas Bloc, of the Iván Mordisco faction, and two members of the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc, of the Calarcá faction.

In the same way, six minors who were in the ranks of these criminal structures were recovered, four belonged to the Amazonas bloc and two to the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc.

This important result generates a significant loss to the criminal resources of both illegal armed structures and counteracts the serious clashes conducted by the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc, Calarcá faction, and the Amazonas Bloc, Ivan Mordisco faction, which has generated damages to the inhabitants and the indigenous communities of special protection in this region of the country.
