Military Forces arrest four alleged kidnappers in Buenaventura

In a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Police, four alleged members of Los Espartanos substructure, of the Organized Gang, GDO, Grupo La Local, were arrested in Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca, who would have kidnapped two citizens of the city of Pereira, under the modality of false service.

 

The citizens were kidnapped because the company in which they work received a request for service for the construction of some warehouses in the Punta Canoa sector, once they arrived at the place where the service was required, they were held against their will by four armed individuals, who intimidated them and took them to a mangrove area in the Pueblo Nuevo sector, in locality four of the port city.

 

The criminals tied up the victims and made intimidating calls to their relatives, demanding 10 million pesos for their release. The two kidnapped escaped of the mangrove area swimming to the Malecon sector. There they were recovered by Navy units conducting search and control operations, saving the lives of citizens.

 

After the rescue, Colombian Navy troops and National Police units launched a coordinated operation in the Pueblo Nuevo sector, searching for the alleged kidnappers.

 

After being recognized by the victims and filing the denunciation, the four individuals were put into custody of the authorities.
