These individuals would be involved in the attack on the police station of the village of El Limón, municipality of Chaparral, which occurred on December 7, 2025, during the (local celebration) Night of candles.
A result of the military operation reported by the soldiers of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Tolima, of the Sixth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Colombian Aerospace Force, and in coordination with the Sijín of the National Police and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General of the Nation. Troops arrived in the village Legía Alta, of the municipality of San Antonio, department of Tolima, where they carried out search procedures, which led to the arrest of three members of the GAO-r Gerónimo Galeano Front, of the Isaías Pardo central bloc, including alias Libardo or Alexander, identified as the ringleader of the finance group and the third ringleader of this criminal structure.
According to the preliminary investigations, these individuals would be linked to the armed attack carried out against the police station of the village of El Limón, municipality of Chaparral, and they were in the same way carrying out systematic extortion activities against different productive groups, including coffee farmers, coffee buyers, transporters, merchants and farmers, and illegally collecting about 400 million pesos.
The victims, of the municipalities of Chaparral, San Antonio, Roncesvalles and Rioblanco, filed their respective denunciations with the authorities, which led to the orientation of the investigative work and the military operation.
In the same way, this structure carried out intimidation through armed proselytism, through the installation of posters, announcements, graffiti and forced meetings with the community, in order to impose behavioral norms, constrain the inhabitants and prevent the operation of the Military Forces, even invading rural properties against the will of their owners. These events had been reported for approximately five months, in coordination with alias Cortico and alias Risas, members of the GAO-r Frente Ismael Ruiz, who had already been arrested in previous months.
During the procedure, weapons, ammunition, magazines, extortive pamphlets of the Geronimo Galeano Front, a laptop computer, cell phones and an agenda were found by troops, elements used for the planning, coordination and execution of criminal activities.
The three arrested were put into custody of Prosecutor's Office 263 of the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), for the crimes of association to commit crimes for the purpose of extortion, in competition with aggravated extortion.
