The strategic operation against the Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in the East of the country, led to the finding and destruction of several structures used as laboratories for the production of coca base paste, thanks to the joint and coordinated work by Colombian National Army, the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police, thus damaging the illegal activities of these criminal organizations.
In the sector of Santa Teresita del Tuparro, municipality of Cumaribo, Vichada, different materials and liquid, solid precursors, machinery and equipment used for the production of coca base paste were found and destroyed.
Wooden structures, plastic barrels with gasoline, diesel, chopped coca leaf, lime, as well as presses and motor pumps of the front José Daniel Pérez Carrero were disabled in the intervened sites.
The active participation of the Colombian Aerospace Force through image analysis and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance flights reaffirms the commitment to the defense of sovereignty, the security of Colombians and the permanent fight against illicit activities that disturb the well-being of the nation.
