Military Forces continue operations against drug trafficking in Valle del Cauca

In development of a joint operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the National Police, in the village of Cabaña, rural area of Liberia, in the municipality of Jamundí, Valle del Cauca, it was possible the finding and destruction of two handicraft laboratories: one of them for the production of hydrochloric acid valued at more than $65,000 U.S. dollars, and the other one for the production of paste coca base production with a capacity of 500 kilos monthly, which would be valued at more than $29,000 U.S. dollars.

This inter-institutional work represents a heavy blow to the finances of the structures of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Columna Móvil Jaime Martínez, responsible for generating fear in the civilians who inhabit the area and carry out violent operations against the Military Forces.

As a result of the military and police operation, the authorities seized materials and supplies for the production of these illicit drugs, including stoves, cylinders, rustic hose systems, scales, 495 gallons of DIESEL and 150 kilos of coca seeds.

The Colombian Air Force, through its air resources and in compliance with its strategic plans, will continue in a joint and coordinated manner with the other authorities, supporting operations that ensure security in the southwest of the country and also to strike the finances of these Organized Armed Groups.

We keep flying, training and fighting to win in the Colombian southwest!
