In an interinstitutional work conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army, the National Police and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office, they dismantle the Organized Gang, GDO, known as Los Coyotes, in the municipality of Espinal, Tolima.
This criminal gang was allegedly engaged in illegal activity for approximately one year and four months. The investigation showed that this organization was led by a man known as Barbero, who would have seven more people at his service, his criminal operation would be based on the sale of hallucinogens through telephone lines, human mail, fixed posts, homes and retail, thus coordinating the purchase, sale and distribution of substances in different sectors of this part of Tolima.
By an air and land operation, the members of the Military Forces, arrived simultaneously at different places in the municipality of Espinal, resulting in nine measures of search, in which it was possible the realization and individual arrested eight people, who had orders to arrest in force, for the offences of conspiracy to commit crimes, aggravated, trafficking, manufacture or carriage of narcotic drugs.
Those arrested were put into custody of the Specialized Anti-Narcotics Prosecutor's Office 08 of Ibagué, who after a virtual hearing, were sent to penitentiary and prison.
It should be noted that in the course of the operation it was possible to recover a red Aveo vehicle, which was required by the local Prosecutor's Office 49 of Medellín, 02 motorcycles, a motorcycle with counterfeit ID and a 16 mm shotgun-type firearm with 02 cartridges for it; in the same way, narcotics including marijuana and coca base.
