The material was being used by the criminal structure to generate the forced displacement of communities and threaten the social leaders of the region.
Through the continuous development of military operations framed in the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan, carried out by units of the Hercules Joint Task Force, in coordination with the Police, found a camp with war materiel belonging to the Ariel Aldana armed structure of the Pacific Guerrilla Coordinator group Segunda Marquetalia of the FARC dissidents in the rural area of the municipality of Roberto Payán (Nariño).
The operation was carried out in the village of La Conquista, the place where the members of the Military Forces arrived to dismantle this illegal complex, which had been built by the criminals in a strategic position, from where the illegal distribution routes of the drug trafficking chain in the department of Nariño were controlled.
When the troops arrived at the site, the members of this illegal group immediately started to escape, leaving behind the weapons and other elements with which they carried out their criminal and criminal operations against civilians.
In the same way, the Military Forces found a machinegun, seven rifles, a pistol, three hand grenades, magazines of different denominations, more than 2100 units of 5.56mm caliber ammunition, abundant material of military accessories and communications equipment.
It is important to highlight that thanks to the different operations that have been taking place on the sector, the arrest of an individual belonging to that structure of the FARC dissidents took place
With this important result it was possible to decisively weaken the criminal operations of the Ariel Aldana organized armed structure responsible for a series of criminal operations that directly hit the people of this part of the department of Nariño.
