Abundant military accessories, communication equipment and ammunition were seized in the military operation in which soldiers and marines of river control were involved.
The Military Forces, in a joint and coordinated operation with the National Police, in the sector Loma Linda, in the village Puerto Valencia, in the municipality of El Retorno, in the department of Guaviare, brought seven individuals to justice. In the operation, their ringleader alias Albeiro was captured, as well as two minors who would have been members of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Estructura Primera.
The military operation obstructed the mobility to these individuals, near the Inírida River, so they had no option to escape by this tributary or by alternate land roads. Among the surrendered individuals, and after the inspection of their identities, it was possible to identify the individual known as Ronald, who was in the reintegration process and who was currently receiving the benefits of the National Government within the framework of the Special Justice for Peace (JEP). The minors were put into custody of the authorities.
Alias Albeiro was the ringleader of this criminal group. He maintained control of drug trafficking routes, planned and carried out terrorist attacks against civilians, infrastructure and Military Forces in the department of Guaviare.
In the course of the operation, two rifles, five pistols, a shotgun, abundant ammunition of different calibers, explosives, communications equipment and military accessories were seized and put into custody of the authorities for the judicial process.
