The attacks on the illicit activities of this organized armed group have been carried out through the coordinated and joint work of the Omega Task Force of Colombian National Army, the National Navy, the Colombian Aerospace Force and the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the National Police.
After an arduous intelligence work, framed in the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, it was possible to neutralize and destroy ten laboratories for the production of coca base paste and a cocaine hydrochloride megalaboratory, in a rural area of the municipality of Puerto Rico, Meta. These constructions belonged to the Marco Aurelio Buendía Structure, of the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc.
The megalaboratory, used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, had a logistics capacity installed in ten wooden structures, where approximately 1500 kilograms of this substance were produced per month, with an estimated price of more than 30,000 million pesos*.
Several units of equipment and machinery were found by troops in the place, including 2 distillation towers, a 250-kilo compressor, 13 microwave ovens, 2 industrial electricity generators, a washing machine, 3 precision scales, a packing table, 2 press molds, a vacuum packer, 2 industrial blenders, an industrial stove, 2 water bath systems, a digital balance, 2 gas cylinders, 128 barrels, 9 tanks, a hydraulic press, a drying table, 9 hammocks, an electrical system, 2 electricity breakers, among others elements.
The dismantling of these laboratories represents a significant blow against the illegal activities of this armed structure in the south of the department of Meta, neutralizing its ability to expand.
