As a result of a Security forces effort in Magdalena, a collection point for illicit substances was found.

As a result of the information provided by different intelligence work, it was possible to find a collection center in the sector of the Ciénaga del Torno, in the department of Magdalena, where the discovery of 98,980 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride and 326,699 kilos of marijuana took place; this drug would have been sold abroad.

Troops of the National Army, the Colombian Navy and the Colombian Air Force deployed a helicopter Bell 212 of Air Combat Command No. 3, which mobilized the troops to the place where they discovered the 17 bags of drugs, transporting them to the Coast Guard Station of Santa Marta, to put them into custody of the Antinarcotics Judicial Police.

This blow dealt to organized crime groups heavily hits their illegal activities, finding these narcotics that would cost 633 million pesos, dismantling this illicit activity in the Colombian Caribbean and thus contributing to the security of the region.
