Military Forces found an illegal hiding place with 300 explosive devices in a rural area of Buenaventura

Fuerza Pública ubicó un depósito ilegal con 300 artefactos explosivos en zona rural de Buenaventura

In the operation, explosive material belonging to the residual organized armed group (GAO-r) Jaime Martínez was seized.

Troops of Colombian National Army, in a joint work with troops of the Colombian Navy and inter-institutional with the Attorney General's Office, in operations to hit the criminal structures of the Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in Valle del Cauca, found an illegal hiding place in the rural area of the village of Zabaletas, in Buenaventura. Explosive material belonging to the GAO-r Jaime Martínez, a group that commits crimes in this area of the department, was found at the scene.

300 anti-personnel mine-type improvised explosive devices were found by troops in the sector; similarly, 40 kilograms of an explosive substance with similar characteristics to ANFO were found by troops. The explosive material was destroyed in controlled conditions in the sector by expert personnel of the institution and the Prosecutor's Office.

The military strategy framed in the Ayacucho Plan, an operation that is being carried out in this department, aims to protect citizens from criminal operations, before which the troops will continue to carry out decisive operations to hit the logistical and financial structures of these organized armed groups.
