The Army supports the police to ensure the supply of fuel in Valle del Cauca and Cali.

Colombian Air Force managed to transport 10,400 covid-19 vaccines to Buga and Tuluá.

Through a joint effort of the National Army and the police, it was possible to supply 422 thousand gallons of fuel, including gasoline and DIESEL, for Valle del Cauca and Cali, in the midst of the blockades.

Fernando Forero, driver of a tanker truck, believes that without the support of the Military Forces it would have been impossible to circulate the vehicles. "We had been stuck for about 10 days and no solution, no reason, later they gave us the way because we were already without money and going through needs, no sleeping and so," he explained.

Cali has received 203,829 gallons of fuel, the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón airport 45,200 (for aircraft), Yumbo 10,600, Palmira 22,000 and Jamundí 17,800 gallons.

"The Army troops have been carrying outing safe routes in logistics routes, where we have been transporting fuel to the Department of Valle, this is how we have 422 thousand gallons that have been distributed in several municipalities of the department and in the city of Cali we carry more than 200 thousand and more to the airport. The Army supports the police and civilians, in the different tasks, they count on their army," said Major General Álvaro Vicente Pérez, Commander of the Joint southwestern Command No.2.

Additionally, in a B-206 Ranger helicopter, the Colombian Air Force managed to transport 10,400 covid-19 vaccines and 500 tests to Tuluá and Buga.
