In a joint and coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force, Colombian National Army and the National Police, a close air support mission was carried out against the residual organized armed group Segunda Marquetalia in the village of Chipa, municipality of Uribia, Department of La Guajira.
The Aerospace Force contributed through its air resources to the military operation, which managed to mitigate the acts of these criminal structures in this area of the country.
As a result, the seizure of war items was obtained, including were: rifles, a machinegun, magazines, cartridges, clothing alluding to the illegal group, communications items such as radios, computers and USB sticks.
In this way, the institution continues to strengthen security in the department of La Guajira Department, its commitment to the safety and protection of the inhabitants, strengthening its air and technological resources to contribute to the tranquility of the Colombian Caribbean.
