For five days, special units of the Military Forces were in the department of Amazonas, with the aim of finding a camp of the Main Structure of the Residual Organized Armed Group Faction alias Ivan Mordisco and Structure of the General Staff of the Bloc Amazonas Manuel Marulanda Velez.
This powerful result of the military operation against the structures that commit crimes in the south of the country was possible through the use of the differential resources of the military Forces, such as the precision attack with air support, framed under the principles of International Humanitarian Law and respect for Human Rights.
The Colombian Military Forces dealt a powerful blow against terrorism, including the recovery of a minor, the surrender to justice of a member of this group, the arrest of four people and the death of four more, within the framework of military operations against the Iv谩n Mordisco faction of the FARC dissidents. The operation was carried out in the areas of Puerto Santander and Mirit铆 Paran谩, in the north of the department of Amazonas. The Judicial Police is carrying out urgent operations in the area.
During the operations, three rifles, ten magazines, 799 cartridges, a revolver and a shotgun were in the same way found. In the same way, abundant material of military accessories and communications, nine boats, more than a ton of marijuana, 27 million pesos in cash and various health items were found by troops.
Colombian National Army, the Colombian Navy and the Colombian Aerospace Force are continuing military operations in the area, thanks to intelligence information that would confirm new damage to these structures as a result of the precision attack with air support.
It is important to note that the Military Forces are constantly carrying out a heavy operation in the north of the Department of Amazonas, an area that alias Ivan Mordisco used as a mobility route for illicit activities. The operations carried out during the current year have significantly weakened the criminal and logistical structures of this faction.
