In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Heroes de la Libertad, the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules, neutralized in military operations an individual belonging to the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Oliver Sinisterra Structure.
During operations, troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No.14 engaged a combat encounter in the Piragua village of the municipality of Magüí Payan, where it was obtained the death in the military operations of an individual, who was part of the armed component of this criminal structure, in the place of the events it was possible to find magazines caliber 5.56 mm, abundant ammunition, 3 armbands allusive to the Daniel Aldana front,12 antipersonnel mines which would be used to attack the military and material for the exclusive use of the Military Forces.
It should be noted that this criminal structure is responsible for forced displacements in recent months of families in the Telembí triangle, municipalities of Roberto Payan, Magüí Payán and Barbacoas.
With this result, the armed component of this criminal organization, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures of drug trafficking, will be hit.
The Joint Task Force of the Stabilisation and Consolidation Hercules ratifies the commitment to ensure the safety and tranquility of the inhabitants of the pacific region in Nariño, working together, co-ordinated and inter-institutional with the different institutions, in order to weaken Organized Armed Groups who commit crimes in the west of the country.
