Military forces prevent consumption of 300 thousand doses of creepy marijuana worldwide

This marijuana variety has a higher concentration of THC (psychoactive substance) than regular marijuana, generating greater addiction in its users and, therefore, more side effects on health, such as psychotic episodes and cardiac disturbances.

1,733 kilograms of creepy marijuana were found by troops by units of the Colombian Navy during two joint and inter-institutional operations with the National Army and the Attorney General's Office, in the rural area of Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca.

With military intelligence information, River Combat Units of the Navy Brigade No.2, with support of the troops of the Anti-Drug Battalion No.2 and officials of the Technical Investigation Corps, conducted the first operation in the San Pedro de Naya sector, where they find 46 bags, inside a rustic structure, with 1,267 pressed packages, similar to those used by criminal organizations for the illegal trafficking of narcotic substances.

Subsequently, a second river control operation was carried out in the Coquito sector, where troops found 16 sacks with rectangular packages, which were covered with plastic, on the mouths of the Cajambre River.

The 62 bags were taken to the Buenaventura Coast Guard Station, where CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) officials made the preliminary identification test to the substance in the packages, determining that it corresponded to creepy marijuana. This variety has higher concentrations of THC (psychoactive substance) than regular marijuana, generating greater addiction in its users and, therefore, more side effects on health, such as psychotic episodes and cardiac arrhythmia, putting at risk not only its users, but in the same way the people close to them.

The cargo found on the Naya and Cajambre rivers would be transported to Central American coasts by speedboat. With this finding, the Navy of Colombia and the National Army prevent more than $ 11 million from entering the residual Organised Armed Group Structure-6 Jaime Martinez; this group is led by alias Mayimbú, reducing its ability to conduct finance operations for criminal and terrorists acts against Military Forces and civilians.

In the same way, with this blow to drug trafficking, the Military forces prevent the circulation and consumption of more than 300 thousand doses of creepy marijuana worldwide, mitigating in turn the generation of new consumers.
