Through this result, the GAO Clan del Golfo will no longer receive more than 9 million dollars from this illicit economy.
Within the framework of a coordinated and inter-institutional operation of the Military Forces, in compliance with the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan -Tiempo 2- it was possible to confiscate 1,442 kilograms of marijuana, in the rural area of Nuquí of Chocó department.
Thanks to the synergy of the joint military operation carried out in the municipality of Nuquí - department of Chocó, troops of the Navy Infantry Battalion No.23 of the Joint Task Force Titan and units of the Pacific Naval Force, arrived in the area and found an illegal hideout containing 60 sacks with rectangular packages, with characteristics of smell and color similar to an illicit substance.
Later, on board the Amphibious Landing Ship ARC Bahía Solano, the bags were transferred to the municipality of Bahía Solano, where the Technical Investigation Staff - CTI- of the Prosecutor's Office, Regional of Quibdó, conducted the Approved Preliminary Identification Test, which left a positive result for 1,442 kilograms of marijuana.
It is presumed that this illegal merchandise would belong to drug trafficking groups in the Colombian Pacific region.
