Through the Joint Strategic Transition Command, the Military Forces lead the inter-institutional coordination with the UBPD and the JEP to consolidate access to rights and the participation of their members in the Comprehensive System for Peace.
The Military Forces, through the Joint Strategic Transition Command, carries out training spaces aimed at strengthening institutional resources to work for access to the rights of military victims of forced disappearance and their families.
This initiative is being implemented in coordination with the German Embassy, the Search Unit for Missing Persons (UBPD), the Special Peace Jurisdiction (JEP) and the Social Development Group, consolidating the participation of the Military Forces in the mechanisms of the Comprehensive System of Truth, Justice, Reparation and Non-Repetition.
The search for disappeared persons, as a fundamental responsibility of the Colombian State established in the Final Agreement of 2016, constitutes a strategic axis in the commitment to rights and in the construction of institutional trust.
In this context, the Military forces have taken an active role in the implementation of mechanisms aimed at satisfying the rights of their disappeared members and their families, strengthening inter-institutional coordination and knowledge management in transitional environments.
These educational spaces strengthen institutional understanding, promote inter-institutional coordination and consolidate the accompaniment of families in the processes of search, memory and dignity.
Through these acts, the Military forces reaffirm their commitment to the fulfillment of the constitutional mandate, the commitment to rights and their effective contribution to the transition and stabilization processes of the country.
They in the same way reaffirm their commitment to truth, memory, reparation and non-repetition, actively contributing to the transition and stabilization processes in Colombia.
