In military operations framed in the Ayacucho Plan, troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Buenaventura in coordination with the National Police and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office arrested alias Chacorta or Vacan, alleged ringleader of the locality 5 of Los Espartanos of the Organized Gang La Local.
According to investigations, alias Chacorta would be under the command of alias Mayapa in charge of kidnappings, extortion against different productive groups, homicides, micro-trafficking and forced displacement in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th communes of the Special District.
The arrested man would have had a criminal experience of more than ten years and an arrest warrant had been issued by the Sixth Municipal Criminal Court of Buenaventura against him, for the crime of extortion. During the operation, three cell phones of different brands and ranges were found by troops.
