Within the framework of coordinated operations, soldiers of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Department of Norte de Santander and the National Police arrested the individual known as Pineda, alleged main ringleader of the organized gang Pelusos, in Oca帽a, Department of Norte de Santander, at the time he was receiving money as a result of extortion.
According to the intelligence information, alias Pineda has a criminal experience of 15 years in the criminal organization; he is allegedly responsible for criminal activities such as the collection of money from extortion against from merchants, farm owners, formal transport companies, as well as threats to the inhabitants, execution of kidnappings and homicides in urban and rural areas of the municipalities of Convenci贸n, Oca帽a, La Playa and 脕brego.
Apparently, alias Pineda participated in the terrorist attack against a helicopter carrying money in the municipality of Teorama, in August 2014, he is in the same way responsible for attacks against the National Police and the incineration of vehicles of companies that transport gas in the municipality of Convenci贸n, Department of Norte de Santander, and in Gonz谩lez, department of Ces谩r.
