Military Gaula continue their fight to protect citizens from kidnapping and extortion

Through 15 operations carried out by the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) over the past 10 days against criminal armed groups, it was possible to capture 8 individuals for the crime of extortion and 7 for kidnapping.

 

Among these operations, it is worth noting the one carried out by the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Chocó, where thanks to an investigation and coordination work with the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, and statements by victims, monitoring of lines and military intelligence, Seven individuals were captured; they were part of the organized criminal group Los Locos, who terrified the people of Chocó, especially in Quibdó. In the same way, this military unit obtained, in support of the National Police, the detention of two criminals for the crime of homicide.

 

In the same way, the Military Gaula – Urabá, participated in the discovery of the citizen Arsenio Manuel Salgado Álvarez, a victim of forced disappearance, on March 28 by the common criminality in the municipality of Mutatá.

 

Thus, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) continue to invite the community to denounce kidnapping and extortion through free of charge line 147, where they will receive assistance 24 hours a day in the frame of the #YoNoPagoYoDenuncio campaign.
