Within the framework of military operations and as a result of the timely assistance to a denunciation received through the national toll-free line 147, troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) department of Meta, in coordination with the Technical Investigation Corps of the Attorney General's Office and jointly with the Air Combat Command No. 2, reported the recovery of a minor and the arrest of an individual known by the alias of Flaco.
According to the preliminary information, the arrested man would be an alleged member of the GAO-r Front 33 Marshal Antonio José de Sucre, and he will have to answer for the alleged crime of illegal recruitment of a minor.
The minor was put under the protection of the authorities for the restoration of her rights, while the arrested man was put into custody of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) and the Immediate Reaction Unit, URI, where the corresponding judicial process will continue.
This result represents an important step in the protection of the rights of children and adolescents, as well as a loss to the resources of the criminal structures that violate the most defenseless inhabitants.
The Fourth Division of Colombian National Army will continue to carry out joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operations to protect the inhabitants, combat illicit recruitment and weaken the resources of the organized armed groups that commit crimes in the Colombian southeast.
