Thanks to the operations of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), citizens did not payed 752 million pesos for kidnappings and 224 for extortions.
From February 10 to 19, the Military Gaula carried out important operations in which, in addition to capture 28 criminals, they hit the structures of the different organized armed groups by capturing, finding and neutralizing their members.
Among the most relevant operations, after a follow-up and intelligence work carried out by Gaula of La Guajira in support of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), there is the rescue, on February 18, of a child under 4 years old, who had been kidnapped 6 days before by the sentimental partner of the child's grandmother.

The Military Gaula continue to invite the community to denounce, through the free of charge line 147, any extortive operation or kidnapping, to immediately being able to solve the situation.
