Troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Norte de Santander with the support of the National Police rescued in record time a citizen, who had been kidnapped on the night of March 2, 2022 in her place of residence.
According to the victim, a 58-year-old woman farmer, about eight fully armed men arrived shooting at her farm in the municipality of San Cayetano, Norte de Santander, and took her in her own vehicle against her will.
Thanks to the civic participation network and to the people who immediately informed the units of the Santander Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) through line 147, the padlock plan was launched and all the perimeter roads were closed.
Thus, in less than two hours the men of Military Gaula reported the finding of this group and in a quick operation, after a combat, Mrs. Gómez was able to recover safely.
Thus, military and police resources jointly reported the neutralization of the kidnapping of a humble and hardworking person and decisively thwarted the criminal operations of criminal groups.
