Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, National Army troops struck the organized armed group ELN, in the village Campo Dos, municipality of Tibú, department of Norte de Santander.
After a thorough intelligence work that led to the identification of the activity of armed individuals intimidating the inhabitants, a military operation was planned and executed in order to neutralize this threat.
As a result, an alleged member of this organized armed group died in the framework of military operations and military intelligence is aware of more damages made to this structure that would be responsible for extortion activities, intimidation and other terrorist operations in the region.
During the operation, it was in the same way possible to find a long weapon, a short weapon, magazines, ammunition of different calibers and material of military accessories belonging to the GAO ELN.
