In compliance with the Heroes de la Libertad Bicentenary Plan, the Hercules joint stabilization and consolidation task force, in joint and coordinated military operations with the National Police, managed to find two illegal hideouts with abundant war material, military accessories, communications elements and, in the same way, to arrest three members of the residual organized armed group, GAO-R.

In the first military operation carried out in the municipality of Las Brisas, Municipality of Tumaco, Department of Nariño, it was possible to find five rifles, a grenade, a revolver, ammunition of different calibers, military accessories and communications belonging to the GAO-R Guerrillas Unidas del Pacífico.

In the same way, as a result of the ongoing operation and the continuing operations of territorial control in San Juan, municipality of Tumaco, it was possible to find a hideout with seven rifles, three hand grenades, more than 2,000 ammunition and 35 magazines apparently belonging to the GAO-r-Structure Contadores.

Another military operation carried out in coordination with the National Police, led to the arrest for extortion of three members of the GAO-R Western Bloc Alfonso Cano. A rifle, a shotgun, a grenade, abundant ammunition and communications equipment were found by troops at the scene.

This result hits the armed component of these criminal organizations, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures who perpetrate drug trafficking.
