Given the humanitarian crisis experienced in the Catatumbo region, Department of Norte de Santander, 56 tons of aid have been transported to date on the C130 and C295 aircraft from the Colombian Aerospace Force, in order to provide support for the needs of the inhabitants in C煤cuta, Tib煤 and Oca帽a.
In response to the request made by state institutions such as the Unit for Victims and the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing (ICBF), these aircraft commanded by the crews of the Military Transport Air Command (CATAM) have transported basic necessities, such as food, toiletries, food supplements and blankets that mitigate the difficult situation that people are living in this area of the country.
The mission for today consisted of transporting 14 tons in a C130 Hercules aircraft to Aguachica, Cesar, as it is the closest landing point for the territorial institutions to deliver humanitarian aid in Oca帽a, Norte de Santander.
