In the course of the joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operation called Eliecer, the Colombian Air Force, the National Army, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office neutralize 10 alleged members of the Rubén Darío Ávila Martínez substructure, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The military operation, which took place in the municipality El Socorro in the municipality of Ituango, Antioquia, led to the finding of seven firearms, a grenade launcher, 16 field equipment, a cell phone, and military accessories, among others.
Colombian Air Force aircraft were part of this operation by supporting troops on the ground.
The Military Forces continue to carry out operations that significantly contribute to weakening criminal groups and also increase security of Colombians in this region of the country.
