Military forces deal a powerful blow to the organized gang Los Costeños in the municipality of Baranoa.
In an inter-institutional work carried out by the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Caribe, together with the Technical Investigation Staff of the Attorney General's Office, two victims were rescued under pressure, a man and a woman who, under the modality of a false service, were being held in their vehicle by four individuals who were traveling on two motorcycles.
This outlaw group, in order to increase its illegal finances and obtain war material and vehicles for its organization, intends to carry out operations such as kidnappings and extortion, looking for vulnerable victims.
This successful outcome was possible thanks to the collaboration of the victims' family, who report irregularities through line 147 and put members of the Military Forces on alert in order to activate military intelligence and deploy all resources.
