Military wounded by drones in the Catatumbo region and was taken by helicopter

Militar herido por drones en Catatumbo

In the village Caño Indio, rural area of the municipality of Tibú, Department of Norte de Santander, a National Army soldier was wounded during a drone attack allegedly perpetrated by members of the organized armed group, GAO, ELN, front Luis Enrique León Guerra. In the face of the situation, the aeromedical transfer to Cúcuta was carried out through a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force and Colombian National Army, prioritizing timely assistance.

The mission was conducted by the crew of the UH-60 Angel helicopter, through the National Personnel Recovery Center, CENRP. On board the aircraft, specialized personnel provided permanent assistance to the military, controlling their vital signs and implementing stabilization procedures throughout the travel.

Upon arriving in the capital city of Norte de Santander, the Military Forces member was handed over to a medical team that transferred him to a hospital of high complexity, where he receives specialized clinical management for the recovery of his injuries.

This type of evacuation is of particular importance in the Catatumbo region where the integration of air and land resources reduces response times and works for medical assistance to those serving military operation missions in far areas of the country.
