Thanks to the permanent presence of the Military Forces, the criminal structures in this department continue to be destabilized.
In compliance with the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, troops of the Eleventh Brigade of Colombian National Army, within the framework of operations conducted simultaneously with the National Police, arrested two individuals who would be part of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
In the first operation reported in the municipality of Montel铆bano, C贸rdoba, soldiers of the Ground Operations Battalion N.掳 23 and the police authorities arrested a man known by the alias Leonidas, alleged member of the Rub茅n Dar铆o 脕vila Substructure.
The individual is accused of the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics, and at the time of the events he had in his possession 12 grams of cocaine.
Alias Leonidas would carry out operations linked to micro-trafficking, such as the distribution of narcotics in some sectors of this municipality.
Meanwhile, in a second operation carried out in the village of Puente San Jorge, belonging to the Apartada, C贸rdoba, troops of the Sin煤 Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and members of the Criminal and Judicial Investigation Section of the Police made effective a search warrant, which resulted in the arrest of alias Pira帽a, accused of the crime of manufacturing, trafficking or carrying firearms or ammunition.
Alias Pira帽a would be a member of the Uldar Cardona Encuentro Substructure, and would be in charge of intimidating and constraining the merchants of the sector to agree to make the payment of extortion fees. During his arrest, a 38 mm caliber revolver with its respective ammunition was seized.
The two individuals and the material found were taken into custody before the Attorney General's Office to continue to conduct processes and the corresponding investigations.
