As part of the actions aimed at the protection of natural resources and the strengthening of coordinated work with the communities, soldiers of the Rainforest Infantry Battalion No. 30, of the Rainforest Brigade No. 31, carry out a planting activity of native specimens in the municipality of Mitú, department of Vaupés.
During the activity, more than 100 specimens of the region's own trees were planted, contributing to the recovery of environmental spaces and the preservation of the strategic ecosystems of the Colombian Amazon.
The activity was attended and accompanied by members of the community, who linked to this initiative that seeks to promote a culture of environmental protection and generate awareness about the importance of conserving the natural wealth of the department.
These acts are part of Colombian National Army's institutional commitment to environmental sustainability, the care of biodiversity and the strengthening of relations with communities, contributing to the well-being and development of the region.
The Fourth Division will continue to carry out activities aimed at the conservation of natural resources and the protection of the environmental heritage of the department of Vaupés, reaffirming its commitment to future generations.
