Más de 146 niños y jóvenes beneficiados con jornada de salud

It is the second Humanitarian Assistance Activity carried out by the Colombian Navy on the island this year.

The Colombian Navy, through the Specific Command of San Andrés and Providencia in coordination with the Colombian Air Force, the San Andrés Mission Support Command and the “Dios lo hizo” Foundation, carried out a Humanitarian Assistance Activity focused on pediatric care.

With more than twelve health professionals specialized in growth and development, speech therapy, dentistry, optometry, and psychology, as well as medical personnel of the San Andrés Basic Military Care Unit of the Naval Institution, more than 146 children and young people of the island’s native and resident people were assisted free of charge.

In the same way, through the Department of Health, vaccination services were provided for diseases such as influenza, tetanus and yellow fever, in order to complete the immunization schedule. For its part, through the National Police's Children and Adolescents team, recreational and playful activities were carried out.
