The National Army, through the Battalion of Support and Services for Combat No.29 of the Twenty-ninth Brigade, launched the campaign “Travel Confident Your army is on the Way” (Viaje Seguro, su Ejército está en la vía.)

This campaign, which is launched during the Christmas season and the end of the year in order to guarantee roads security, is received with total acceptance by the different people who move along the country's roads.

"it is important for our soldiers to work for the peace of mind of those who travel along the roads of the department of Cauca and its capital city, so 27 check points and 11 military checkpoints have been arranged on the main and alternate roads," said Brigadier General Jorge Hernando Herrera Díaz, commander of the Twenty Ninth Brigade.

During the celebrations of Christmas, New Year's Eve and Fiestas de Reyes, more than 1,700 soldiers will be guaranteeing safety and providing security to the inhabitants of Cauca and tourists, generating confidence so that the festivities gain tranquility and union in Colombian homes.
