Chocó. In a fluvial operation of surveillance, interdiction and security, the National Navy managed to find 2,196 gallons of illegal fuel in the department of Chocó.
National Marine units, attached to the Joint Task Force "Titan", found on board three ships that sailed along the Atrato River, 2196 gallons of diesel, which were transported without the required permits and documentation.
This fuel would be used by organized armed groups for the illegal exploitation of mining deposits in the department.
During the operation, no arrests were made and the materials were put into custody of the Police Station of the municipality of Quibdó, in the department of Chocó.
