More than 24 tons of humanitarian aid were transported by the Colombian Air Force to the Amazon

In support of the National Army and the Amazon Coast Guard Command, the Colombian Air Force carried out the transportation of 24,090 tons of humanitarian aid, with which the military forces stationed in the far south of the country seek to strengthen resources during the health emergency by COVID-19.

The aid represented in precursors for the military personnel operating in this region of the country, were transported in a Jupiter-767 aircraft of the Colombian Air Force, from the Air Command of military transport, CATAM, to the Amazonas Air Group, GAAMA.

Upon arrival at Coronel Herbert Boy airbase, humanitarian aid was received under strict biosecurity protocols implemented by the institution as a preventive measure for the contagion of the new Coronavirus.

In this way, the Colombian Air Force, using its aircraft and fulfilling its institutional mission, reiterates its unconditional support in the transportation of cargo and personnel, precursors and equipment, to strengthen the resources of the military forces and National Police, who work tirelessly in the fight against Covid-19 in the Colombian Amazon.
