The laboratory would be at the service of the GAO Clan del Golfo, and would leave them economic profits of more than 1600 million pesos per month.
National Army troops, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the Police, carried out the finding and destruction of a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory in the village of Ca帽o Seco, in San Alberto, department of Cesar.
This laboratory would be at the service of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, with economic profits of more than 1600 million pesos, due to a monthly production of 1.5 tons of this narcotic. This result prevents the distribution of about 762,500 doses to consumer markets.
More than 300 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops there ready for distribution, 512 gallons of liquid supplies and 175 kilograms of solid supplies, as well as 3 microwave ovens, a compressor and 2 precision scales, among other elements used for the production of this type of narcotic.
This is the second laboratory in the rural area of San Alberto, department of Cesar, in 2025, and it leaves a significant damage to the illicit activities of the GAO Clan del Golfo and the armed wing of the organization.
Framed in the Ayacucho Plus Plan, the soldiers will continue to contribute to the stability of the territory.
