The action was carried out in the village El Cedro, of the village of Bruselas, in Pitalito, department of Huila.
A powerful blow against the finances of the residual organized armed group Structura Teófilo Forero Castro, Grupo Óscar Mondragón, was dealt by troops of the Ninth Brigade of Colombian National Army and the National Police in the south of the department of Huila.
As part of the search and control activities on the road, the pressure exerted by the troops managed to find a vehicle that had been abandoned on the side of the road.
When carrying out the search of the car, the units found 17 packages with marijuana inside. after the review, it was established that it was 372 kilograms of the narcotic.
Through this confiscation, the commercialization of about 372,000 doses was prevented, which, according to preliminary information, would have been destined abroad.
This result represents an approximate economic loss of 558 million pesos to the illicit finances of this armed structure, weakening its logistical and criminal capacity, as well as its intention to expand drug trafficking routes of the south of the country to international markets.
The vehicle and the items found were put into custody of the authorities for their respective judicial process.
The military operations against drug trafficking will continue in all the municipalities of Huila, countering the acts of illegal armed groups and their sources of financing.
