After completing the training phase and living the experience of training in the military as soldiers, they reaffirmed their commitment to the National Army and to Colombia.

437 soldiers of six battalions of the Seventh Brigade and Thirty-First Jungle Brigade and more than 43 women who are serving their military service swore to the flag in a solemn ceremony held at the camp of parades of the Apiay military base, in Villavicencio, Meta.

Now, these men and women who were accompanied by their loved ones, will serve their military service, fulfilling missions aimed at ensuring the safety of the inhabitants of Meta and Vaupés, contributing to the construction of the homeland in defense of life and under the premise of Homeland Honor Loyalty.

In the framework of the military ceremony, Brigadier General Carlos Ernesto Marmolejo, commander of the Fourth Division said: "I could not overlook this historic moment to make mention of the first female soldiers who swear to the flag today. To each one of them and their families our recognition and congratulations. You are empowered women who take on important challenges and project your life in the service of the country."

Starting next May 1 of this year, the National Army begins the process of incorporating the second mixed contingent of 2023, throughout the national territory, an invitation addressed to men and women over the age of 18 and even missing a day to turn 24, to enter the military family and structure their life project in the vocation of weapons contributing to the country.
