After four days of humanitarian assistance in Inírida, department of Guainía, more than 470 elderly people were benefited with free medical assistance, in a Development Support Activity, which was carried out, thanks to a joint work conducted by the Colombian Navy, the Municipal Mayor's Office of Inírida and other institutions.
Through this activity, carried out at Centro Vida, Casa del adulto mayor iniridense, it was possible to carry out more than a thousand treatments in specialties such as general medicine, ophthalmology, psychology, social work, among others.
The crew members of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 50, actively participated, supporting the medical staff and volunteers, to provide the elderly, in addition to medical care, hairdressing spaces, recreational activities and laboratory tests, totally free.
This successful Development Support Activity was attended by the Colombian Navy, the Municipal Mayor's Office of Inírida, the Departmental Public Library, the Manos Pintadas de Azul Foundation, the Renacer Departmental Hospital and the health provider institution Nueva EPS.
