Troops with different specialties and with special training continue to arrive at the department.
More than 500 soldiers make up the platoons with which Colombian National Army is reinforcing the operation against the residual organized armed groups in the department of Cauca.
The troops that will make up the different battalions have as a special mission to ensure the protection of Cauca, using their differential resources, training and maneuvers in rural and semi-urban operations, strengthening security in the peripheral areas and ensuring the strategic resources in this region of the country.
The military will be deployed in different areas, municipalities and strategic points, complementing the tasks that the units have been doing in favor of the security of the inhabitants, especially in the municipalities of Suárez, Morales, Corinto and Caloto, in the north of the department, and villages such as Balboa and Patía, in the south. This deployment in the same way includes the coordinated tasks that will be carried out with the National Police in different places of the department where their support is required.
The security operations that these members of the Military Forces will conduct will definitely be maintained and correspond to the dynamics of the military operation to confront the criminal operations of groups outlaw.
