More than 5.8 tons of cocaine hydrochloride and 7.5 tons of Coca Paste Base destroyed in three departments of the country

5.8_toneladas_cocaina_incautada_tres_depar_01.jpg

This important finding complements the ones obtained earlier this year; the troops have destroyed more than 86.4 tons of cocaine hydrochloride.

Following the guidelines of the National Government and the Ayacucho Plan, troops of the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats, CONAT, a unit a of the DAVAA Air Assault Aviation Division, of Colombian National Army, in the last week within the framework of military operations, in three departments of the country: Bolivar, Nariño and Norte de Santander, hit drug trafficking with the destruction of 5.8 tons of cocaine hydrochloride, 7.5 tons of coca base paste and 30.3 kilograms of heroin, valued approximately in USD 192,000,000.

With this finding, the production of more than 10 million doses is prevented, which leads to safeguarding more than a thousand lives, by stopping their distribution on the world market.

This result against drug trafficking prevents the estimated production of 11.5 tons per month, equivalent to 22 million doses, 2,905,500 lives that are not lost due to the consumption of this illegal substance and more than USD 368,000,000 that organized armed groups and transnational organized crime no longer receive.

Colombian National Army, working to fight this problem, continues to carry out military operations throughout the national territory against organized armed groups, organized crime groups and transnational organized crime, contributing to the protection of life, peace and natural resources.
