After the devastating  Hurricanes IOTA and ETA through the San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina archipelago, three months ago. The Colombian Air Force, following the orders of the National Government, has served the community with all its resources with the aim of mitigating the difficult situation.

More than 90 days in which the Air Force, through the military transport Air Command-CATAM, has transported rescue equipment, logistical support elements, communication elements, medicines, hospital and construction elements in response to the emergency on the islands.

To date, 1,415 tons of aid have been transported, 402 hours have been flown and 10,561 passengers have been taken on aircraft such as the Cassa C-295, C-40, Hercules C-130, Boeing 767, among others. It should be noted that all these transport missions have been carried out into following the biosafety protocols implemented by the air institution.

Thus, the Colombian Air Force, through CATAM, provides its aircraft, crews, soldiers and civilian personnel to carry out efficiently and effectively the transport of the necessary aids to cope with this emergency.
