Intelligence information provided by the Colombian Navy to the Brazilian Federal Police and the Brazilian Amazon Military Police, led to the finding of 3,590 kilograms of creepy marijuana and the arrest of two individuals, during four operations that took place in the Rio Negro in the Brazilian Amazon region.

The first operation took place on the Negro River near the Fernando Costa Colony, where the Brazilian Federal Police seized 2,015 kilograms of creepy-type marijuana, which were being transported in a rudimentary canoe-type boat in little quantities mode. According to intelligence information provided by the Colombian Navy, it was evident the beginning of the displacement of the ship in the vicinity of the village of La Pedrera - Amazonas, transporting the illicit substances through narrow streams and different tributaries, until crossing the Rio Negro towards Manaus in Brazil.

Later, in the Rio Negro in Brazil, two combined operations were carried out where after an arduous follow-up to the routes of the drug trafficking structures, the Brazilian Federal Police ordered the interception of two aluminum boats, one of them was manned by three men who, noticing the work of the authorities, collided the boat over a mangrove area and escaped.

Immediately, the authorities began the search of the stricken ship, finding 686 kilograms of creepy marijuana, distributed in several sacks hidden under the deck. While the other boat traveling along this river, was intercepted by the police authorities, finding hidden in the benches 130 kilograms of marijuana and the arrest of a Brazilian citizen, who would be in charge of transporting the narcotics to Manaus - Brazil.

At the same time, in the Santa Maria in Brazil, with information provided by Colombian Navy Intelligence, the Military Police of Amazonas – Brazil, found a houseboat on the Negro River in which, after searches of raids, 759 kilograms of marijuana were found by troops, which were hidden in a room, and arrested an elderly Colombian, who guarded the narcotics that would belong to the Vermelho Command, one of the largest drug trafficking structures in Brazil.

The individuals and the material found were put into custody of the authorities.

According to intelligence of the Colombian Navy, Colombian drug trafficking structures would be transporting the narcotics from Colombian territory on the Caquetá River to the non-municipalized area of La Pedrera - Amazonas, where it is distributed to members of the Vermelho Command, who in Manaus -Brazil, are responsible for internally marketing the narcotics that would cost in more than 73 billion Colombian pesos.
