Through this powerful result, thanks to the permanent operation of the Twenty-Seventh Brigade, the illegal activities of the residual organized armed group (GAO-r) Comandos de Frontera are hit.
Within the framework of military operations, troops of the Field Artillery Battalion No. 27 General Luis Ernesto Ordóñez Castillo, in coordination with the Putumayo Police, found 1,656 kilograms of marijuana during a road control post carried out in the village of San Pedro, in the municipality of Puerto Caicedo, department de Putumayo.
According to the economic assessment, this shipment would produce about 1,656,000 doses, which would represent more than four million dollars abroad, this being a significant blow to the illegal finances of the criminal structure specialized in drug trafficking in the region.
According to intelligence information, the elements would belong to the GAO-r Comandos de Frontera, an organization that commits crimes in this area of the country and obtains economic resources through drug trafficking, damaging security and tranquility of the inhabitants.
During the operation, an individual was arrested, which was put into custody of the judicial authorities along with the elements found.
Through this result of the military operation, the Twenty-Seventh Brigade of Colombian National Army ratifies its commitment to the frontal fight against drug trafficking and illegal armed organizations, contributing to weakening its logistical and financial resources.
