A Go Fast type ship carrying 24.8 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride and 1,288 kilos of marijuana was detected in a maritime interception in Santa Verónica, Atlántico as a result of a coordinated work conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force and the Colombian Navy.
Within the framework of this operation, 30 packages of the drug were found by troops when Rapid Reaction units – URR, under coordination Supervision of the Caribbean military operation in coordination with aircraft of the Air Combat Command No. 3, detected a suspicious ship cruising in the area.
The drug found in this operation, whose value would exceed 2 million dollars on the international illegal market, was put into custody of the authorities, as well as the four crew members, who, upon noticing the activity of naval units, set out to escape by conducting evasive maneuvers, leaving an undetermined amount of sacks at sea.
