In the Nariño Pacific region, about two tons of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops

En el Pacífico nariñense, incautadas cerca de dos toneladas de clorhidrato de cocaína

As part of naval operations, the Colombian Navy intercepted a ship manned by three Colombian nationals, who were transporting about two tons of narcotics on board a ship.

 

Thanks to information provided by Naval Intelligence, units of the Coast Guard Station of Tumaco detected a go fast type ship that was traveling suspiciously 140 nautical miles of the district of San Andrés de Tumaco, department of Nariño. A Rapid Reaction Unit – URR was immediately deployed to the scene to intercept the ship. When carrying out the search, the Sailors of Colombia found inside 68 sacks, which by their characteristics would resemble illicit substances, as well as 18 plastic barrels with fuel.

 

The three individuals and the items found were taken to the facilities of the Coast Guard Station of Tumaco, where officials of the Technical Investigation Corps of the Attorney General's Office, conducted the Approved Preliminary Identification Test – PIPH, determining that the packages contained 1,999 kilograms of Cocaine hydrochloride and 270 gallons of fuel.

 

The arrested and the items found were put into custody of the authorities for the respective prosecution process.

 

Through this result, it was possible an economic loss of more than 95 million dollars that will stop entering criminal organizations. In the same way, the commercialization of more than 4.9 million doses on the streets of the world was prevented.
