In the Nariño Pacific region, more than 2,000 gallons of fuel illegally transported were found by troops

En el Pacífico nariñense, incautados más de 2.000 galones de combustible transportados de forma ilegal

During the operation, 10 propane gas cylinders of 15 kilograms each were in the same way found.

The Colombian Navy, within the framework of comprehensive maritime control and security operations, intercepted a ship carrying more than 2,000 gallons of smuggled fuel on board in the waters of the Nariño Pacific.

The procedure was carried out thanks to the deployment of Coast Guard units in the area, who carried out the search on the boat manned by four individuals, finding 41 barrels of fuels, which did not have the documents sought to verify their legality.

The ship was transferred to the dock of the Coast Guard Station in Tumaco - Nariño, where personnel of the Technical Research Corps - CTI, conducted the Approved Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH, determining that it was 2,065 gallons of foreign gasoline.

The four individuals, the fuel and the immobilized boat, were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office for the corresponding legal proceedings.
