A select group of men with differential Resources, will preserve and strengthen security in Barrancabermeja.
In the Plaza de Armas of the Nueva Granada Battalion in Barrancabermeja, Santander, the National Army activated the Comprehensive Resource Plan for the protection of the nation's main strategic asset, made up of personnel with differential resources, focused on preserving and strengthening security in this important petroleum region.
As of today, motorized units, Cavalry ASV vehicles, Urban Special Forces, Explosives and Demolition Teams, Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and military Force protection platoon, assume the responsibility of protecting this important strategic asset, together with the Artillery units in the Special District.
This work leads to joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operations, integrating personnel from various branches of the Institution, to continue working in defense of one of the main development centers of the Nation.
The National Army reaffirms the institutional commitment to ensure, coordinate and join efforts to provide tranquility to this region that has been the engine of the country for 100 years, in the same way invites people to continue trusting the Military Forces and civil authorities, denouncing any type of situation that may alter or put at risk the good physical condition of the inhabitants, the State and its resources.
