In the course of military operations, troops of the National Army arrested in flagrante delicto a person accused of manufacturing, trafficking and carrying narcotics.

In the course of Operation Horus, in the municipality of Granada, Meta, the National Army arrested alias El Gordo, who was allegedly a member of the common criminality group DELCO, possibly of micro-drug trafficking in this sector of the Ariari region.

At the time the troops and police officers were carrying out the operation, this individual was traveling in a collective inter municipality passenger bus. Information that was obtained, thanks to human sources, making this result possible.

After the arrest, the soldiers proceeded to search the belongings of the alleged drug dealer, finding in his possession 20 pills of ecstasy, two jars of 100 of ketamine, which is a tranquilizer for animals and also a component for the manufacture of synthetic drugs. This material would cost more than one million COP and was given to the authority.

With this result, the production and distribution capacity of hallucinogens in the municipality of Granada is reduced, thus preventing their consumption by the inhabitants in night establishments, such as discos, bars and schools, favorite places for illegal structures to sell drugs.
